This is bad but nothing as compared to what Muslims have done in the past. Some of the big ones were Kahuta masacre, Moplah massacre, Calcutta massacre, Noakhali massacre, the Punjab and Sindh massacres in 1947 -- reportedly 500,000 to 1,000, 000 killed and 15 million uprooted from the homeland they had ever known in history, Bangladesh massacres in 1971 -- to list a few. The list is really very very long.

I believe it is rather disingenuous to blame the Muslims. We have 1300 years history of Muslim actions in India. IN 1947 Jinnah gave Hindus a golden opportunity when he demanded partition and, at one stage, also offered population exchange. In 1940 -- 7 years before partition actually took place -- after studying the issue of partition demand by Muslim league B R Ambedkar had come to the conclusion that there should be partition and not only partition but also complete population exchange. A must read for anyone intersted in Hindu Muslim relations. But India's father -- Gandhi -- would have none of that. he wanted his Muslim brothers to live with him.
When Muslims were massacring Hindus during Molah riots, Gandhi kind of admired them for practicing their religion as they deem fit.

Those who want to know Islam and Islamic rule should read history of India as written by contemporary Muslim historians from 8th to 18th century and make their own judgment. About the end of nineteenth century, translation of some of these books was compiled by Sir Henry Eliot and John Dowson in 8 volumes History of India as told by its own historians.
