When she humbly declined to the post of Prime Minister of India on 17th May 2004 and she said that "I was always certain," that if ever I found myself in the position that I am in today, I would follow my inner voice. Today, that voice tells me that I must humbly decline this post."
This declaration stunned her party, the people of India, and the rest of the world and she showed to whole of the world that she really works for the people and not for the thorn or chair. She has established a new tradition of politics and sacrifice.
She said that, 'Poor should not be hit by the hubris of the rich...'
We regards the feelings of Smt. Sonia Gandhi and pledge to follow her path to work for the poor and downtrodden people of the society irrespective of the caste, creed ,region and religion. We will work together to promote National Integration, Communal Harmony, Universal Brotherhood and Global Peace.
